RW Carbon is happy to announce our next project around here. We recently sold our beloved Mercedes C190 GTC which we had for over 4 years. Making that build the longest we have ever had. It was sad to see it go, but it was exciting to replace it with its predecessor, the all-new 2024 Mercedes GT55 AMG. The original GT was such a successful and popular car and we just know this one will be too. It might be a bit heavier, but do not let that turn you away. This is a true AMG with a hand build 4.0L twin turbo charged V8 at its heart. For its extra weight it is surprisingly nimble and feels well planted to the ground.
We spec'd this GT55 in the beautiful Alpine Grey exterior with black interior. We opted to get the AMG performance seats to make it feel more like a sports car and less like a grand touring car. The GT55 boost a healthy 469 HP and 516 lb-ft, making is down on power from our previous GTC, but it does not feel like it. It shares the chassis from the new SL, but it feels sportier and the engine tune is more aggressive for a snappy throttle response. Compared to the previous GTC, the tech is lightyears ahead and the overall car is far more refined, while still having the untamed AMG feel. We are excited to put more miles on it and report back with our findings. We have a lot planned for this build and are thrilled to get started, so keep checking back for updates!
Before we get started, we had to give it a proper photoshoot. This week we have already 3D scanned the entire car, so product design will be next. Stay tuned for more updates!
After months of production and testing our GT55 and GT63 parts are nearing completion. Right now our front lip photos have been released but we have many more on their way. Our full kit will consist of a front lip, rear diffuser, OEM replacement CF side skirts and lower carbon fiber side skirt extensions. We will also be offering mirror caps, CF fender trims, an OEM replacement CF wing and a OE Styled GT Aero Wing. Check back for more updates in the near future.
